9 June, 2026The meeting, organized by the ipIBA group, has promoted the exchange of knowledge and scientific communication among young researchers
The Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragon), through the ipIBA group, has celebrated the 5th edition of ipIBA Day, a day aimed at promoting scientific dissemination, boosting the training of predoctoral research staff and fostering the exchange of knowledge in the field of biomedical research.
Organized by ipIBA, the group of predoctoral researchers from the IIS Aragón, The meeting has become a key event for the young research community associated with the institute. During the day, participants had the opportunity to share their projects, improve their scientific communication skills, and present their work to non-specialist audiences.
The program has included two main competitions: “Thesis in 3 Minutes” and “Scientific Poster”, two formats designed to reinforce scientific communication skills and facilitate the presentation of research work in a clear, concise and accessible way.
In the “3-Minute Thesis” competition, pre-doctoral researchers summarized their research in just three minutes, using a single slide and adapting their presentation to make it understandable for a general audience. The first prize went to Gabriel Rada Rodrigo, while second place went to Aida Perramon Güell.
Meanwhile, the “Scientific Poster” competition allowed participants to present their research in poster format, in English, summarizing the most relevant results and conclusions of their work. Each participant had between three and five minutes to present their poster to the evaluators. In this category, first place went to Eduardo Aranda Cañada and the second place for Paula Martín Rubio.
With this new edition of ipIBA Day, the IIS Aragón reinforces its commitment to training, visibility and development of biomedical research in Aragón, as well as to the creation of spaces that connect the scientific community and promote knowledge transfer.
