4 April 2024The III Aragonese Day of Humanization in breast cancer will be held on April 11 in the Patio de la Infanta (Ibercaja Foundation). A complete session on the current environment of disability and breast cancer
April 11 Zaragoza hosts the celebration of the III Aragonese Conference on Humanization in breast cancer under the title “Disability and Breast Cancer”, Organized by the IIS Aragon and in collaboration with the Spanish Association against Cancer in Zaragoza. A meeting, which will take place at the Ibercaja Patio de la Infanta Foundation, in which professionals and patients will meet who, through tables and talks, will bring attendees closer to the current situation regarding disability and breast cancer. The event will feature the participation of several researchers from IIS Aragón.
The day will open at five in the afternoon. In the presentation, the survey data on “Disability and breast cancer” in which Marta Valencia from CERMI Aragón (Committee of Entities Representatives of People with Disabilities) will participate; Patxi García, director Against Cancer Aragón; Carmen García Mur, from the HUMS Breast Unit; and Carmen Casamayor, from the HUMS Surgery Service.
Next, Teresa García Ruiz, Primary Care doctor at the Rebolería Health Center, will talk about “Importance of Primary Care in breast cancer”. During the day there will be three dialogue tables on “Inclusion in the diagnosis","Adaptation to treatments"And"Adequacy to monitoring”, in which radiologists, oncologists, surgeons and gynecologists will participate along with several participants with different disabilities (physical, visual, intellectual, hearing, mental and organic). At around six in the afternoon, the diplomas for the Poster Design Contest will be awarded with the intervention of the winner of the contest.
The day will end with the presentation of conclusions by Reyes Ibáñez, from UCMORA Radiation Oncology, and Beatriz Eizaguirre, from HUMS Pathological Anatomy.
