The Aspanoa party celebrates its 30th anniversary

On the grass, Former Zaragoza footballers such as Movilla, Cani, Lafita, Paredes, Xavi Aguado and many others will make the faithful public that gathers here every year spend an entertaining morning for a good cause. This edition will be the last time that it is held in La Romareda as the Zaragoza public knows it, without the Gol Sur, so it is a wonderful opportunity to say goodbye to the stadium as well. Tickets can be obtained at the Aspanoa website for a donation of 4 euros in full to fight against childhood cancer. There is also a zero line for those who cannot come.

The more than 20.000 Zaragozans who usually gather in the stands every year can attest to the fact that the atmosphere is special. Only the children of Aspanoa win. The stands are full of families with small children, who will also have children's entertainment. Mascots will come as Zarpa, the official mascot of the Real Zaragoza Supporters' Federation, or Nori, the mascot of the Amusement Park. And many more surprises. During the break, paratroopers from the Army, specifically from the Air Deployment Support Squadron (EADA). It's spectacular. But the most beautiful thing about this match is when the children from Aspanoa come out onto the field, before the match begins, and the whole of La Romareda applauds them and encourages them in the fight against the disease.

A task for everyone

Filling La Romareda is the aim of the organisers of a match whose entire proceeds go to Aspanoa, the association that cares for children with cancer in Aragon. Last year, she helped 200 children with cancer at various stages of the disease, as well as their parents and siblings. Its services focus on offering psychological and social support; financial support; rehabilitation of after-effects (physiotherapy, music therapy and neuropsychology) and leisure and free time activities both in the hospital and at its facilities.

In addition, Aspanoa is the regional association of parents of children with cancer that allocates the most funds to research into childhood cancer in all of Spain. Currently, They finance six projects, with a total investment of 460.000 euros, which are developed at the Aragón Health Research Institute, at the I3A of the University of Zaragoza and at the Carboquímica Institute of the CSIC.

The match represents 15% of Aspanoa's income. But, in addition to the support of the Zaragoza public, this entity does not want to forget the importance of the companies and institutions that collaborate with them. Entities such as Artículos de Menaje para Colectivos (AMC), CEFA, Caravan Fragancias, Coviar, Ebroacero, El Corte Inglés, Jets Play, Laboral Kutxa, Lacasa, Martín Martín, Saphir Perfums, Zaragoza Deporte and the Zoilo Ríos Group. They are joined by volunteers, some 80, who are at the ticket offices, in the organization of the activities or in the bars, where all products will be at 1,50 euros, the proceeds going to Aspanoa so that together we can score a goal against cancer.
