10 January 2025Jesús Martín, coordinator of the multiple sclerosis research area of the Neuroscience Research Group (GIIS042) of the IIS Aragón, will once again be in charge of promoting and developing research and training in Clinical Management and Healthcare Quality for these professionals over the next 2 years.
El neurologist Jesus Martin Martinez has been re-elected as coordinator of the Study Group on Clinical Management and Quality of Care in Neurology of the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN), a position he will hold for the next two years.
Doctor of Medicine from the University of Zaragoza, expert in risk management and patient safety from the Ministry of Health and a graduate in Health Center Management from the Official College of Physicians of Barcelona, he works as a neurologist at the Miguel Servet University Hospital from Zaragoza, where he coordinates the Multiple Sclerosis Unit (CSUR). He is also Head of Outpatient Neurological Care Management, Sector Salud 2 SALUD in Zaragoza, Head of Quality of the Neurology Service at the Miguel Servet University Hospital and Coordinator of the Multiple Sclerosis Research Area of the GIIS042-Neuroscience Research Group at the IIS Aragón.
He has participated in numerous national and international research projects, mainly on multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular diseases and neuro-ophthalmology, he is also the author of numerous articles published in national and international journals on these topics, as well as on healthcare management and patient care.
The SEN Study Groups have the objective of uniting the members of the scientific society, according to the degree of specialty in the different neurological pathologies or the interest shown in topics related to other aspects of the specialty, and are responsible for to promote and develop research and continuing education of each area.
The new Boards of the study groups of the Spanish Society of Neurology were elected after an electoral period that ended at the end of November 2024. The appointments have become effective once the period for objections has concluded.
