Presentation by the IIS Aragón on social innovation in health at the Entrepreneurship Week of the Universidad del Pacífico of Colombia

The IIS Aragón encourages entrepreneurship in the field of health in “The Buenaventura Global Entrepreneurship Week” with the presentation “Social innovation, improving reality in community”

Last Friday, November 17, Rafa Continente, technician from the Innovation and CSR Unit and predoctoral researcher at IIS Aragón, gave the conference “Social innovation, improving reality in community” in ““Global Entrepreneurship Week in Buenaventura 2023” organized by the Universidad del Pacífico (Buenaventura, Colombia).

In the presentation “Social innovation, improving reality in the community”, Rafa shared with students from the university and citizens of the city of Buenaventura how to incorporate citizens into social innovation processes, people who are not experts in the development of innovation projects, and what this contributes to projects that seek to improve people's reality, as is the case of the health projects that the IIS Aragón is carrying out. 

After the presentation of the IIS Aragón, there was talk of social innovation, methodology and recipes for (social) innovation to be effective in a territory, a community or an entity that serves people and that results in social entrepreneurship projects, with or without profit motive.

This is the first collaboration between the IIS Aragón and the Universidad del Pacífico and we hope that it will be the beginning of many projects in the field of health that improve the reality of people on both sides of the ocean.
