Last Friday, September 27, science took to the streets of Aragon with more than 250 scientists and 70 activities of all kinds. In Zaragoza, the research groups in primary care and mental health of the IIS Aragon collaborated
In this year's edition, the University of Zaragoza surpassed its figures from previous editions, with the collaboration of more than 250 scientists in activities distributed across the three Aragonese capitals. The event, which was held simultaneously in 370 European cities, aims to bring science closer to the population and eliminate the gender gap in the scientific field.
The IIS Aragón reaches out to citizens
The Aragonese primary care research group (GIIS017) led by José Javier García Campayo and the Aragonese mental health research group in primary care (GIIS011) led by Rosa Magallón, represented the Aragon Health Research Institute and the University of Zaragoza. These teams, specialized in health and mental health in primary care, were present at the UNITA space, presenting their main lines of research, their projects and their objectives.
Science, entertainment and social commitment
The programme included new features such as the recreation of Professor Grande Covián's voice thanks to artificial intelligence and a circus and science show by the company Alodeyá, which surprised the audience with effects based on the laws of physics. In addition, the "scientific walks", which were also held for the first time in Huesca and Teruel, were very well received by the public.
