The Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragon) has been nominated in the category of Science and Technology of the awards Aragonese of the Year, Organized by THE ARAGON NEWSPAPERThis nomination recognizes the institute's history and contribution to biomedical and health research in the community.
With the start of voting, the countdown to the gala also begins. Aragonese of the Yearwhich will once again recognize the career and work of outstanding individuals and entities in the community in an event to be held on May 20th at the Princess Leonor Auditorium of Zaragoza.
The ceremony will have the collaboration of Government of Aragon, Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza, the Provincial Council of Zaragoza y Banco SabadellAs is tradition, the newspaper's readers will choose the winners. In total, the awards include five categories: Human Values, Science and Technology, Business, Culture and Sportswith four candidates in each category. Furthermore, among the 20 proposed candidates, the candidate who receives the most support across all categories will also win the title of Aragonese of the Year, Whereas the Aragonese of Honor will be appointed directly by EL PERIÓDICO DE ARAGÓN.
In the category of Science and TechnologyThe IIS Aragón shares the nomination with physics María José Martínez-Pérez, National Research Award 2025; The Wave; and the Ebro River Basin Authority (CHE).
In the other categories, the candidates are Ibercaja Foundation, the body of Firefighters of the DPZ, CEIP Ramiro Soláns and DFA Foundation, Human values; Veralia, The Zaragozana, Samca Group y Eigo Constructions, Company; Elena Rivera placeholder image, Yasmina Praderas, Aragón Television y The lucky star, Culture, and Aday Mara, Andrés Temiño, Marta Pintanel y Carlos Cantero, Sports.
