The IIS Aragón has organized, throughout the month of May, the I Research and Innovation Conference for Residents in Aragon, following in the wake of the last five years of the Miguel Servet University Hospital. The CIBA Assembly Hall hosted an intense day, with the inauguration featuring the Minister of Health of the Government of Aragon, José Luis Bancalero, stressed the importance of research for healthcare to advance and the need for conferences like these to promote research careers.

The first prize for the best scientific communication, endowed with €250, has fallen on Julia Lopez de la Cruz by 'The impact of hladqa1*05 and hladqa1*03 on loss of response to anti-TNF and safety in patients with inflammatory bowel disease'. Furthermore, in this category they have been distinguished with two second prizes to Verónica López Sáinz, 'Orthognathic surgery: surgical time and hospital stay with conventional technique vs. Customized', and Eva Martínez Marzo with 'Value of the clinical environment in the interpretation of angiogenic markers in the diagnosis of placental insufficiency', endowed with €150 each prize.
As for innovation projects has won the first prize (€250) David Guallar García with 'AI at the service of consultation patient blood management: efficiency and safety in preoperative treatment' and a second prize of €150 for Daniel Aparicio López with 'Me voy a casa'.
