The I Amparo Poch Award, convened by the IACS Chair of CPI in Health with the aim of recognizing projects and initiatives that have resorted to the public purchase of innovation to improve health services, has gone to the Lozano Blesa University Clinical Hospital, the Galician Service of Health (Sergas) and the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital.
The smart laundry service of the Hospital Clínic and the association for innovation in Code 100, of the Galician Health Service (Sergas), have been recognized with the Award for the Best Public Purchase of Innovation in Health, while Hospital Vall d`Hebron It has been recognized with a second prize by the platform for improving public procurement of innovation (PiPPi).
Health managers and innovation experts from nine institutions throughout Spain have met in the Auditorium of the University of Zaragoza to analyze and debate how to introduce innovation in public procurement processes in the context of the II Congress of Public Procurement of Innovation in Health.
The meeting was organized by the Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences IACS, in collaboration with the University of Zaragoza within the framework of the IACS Chair of Innovative Public Procurement (CPI) in Health, the Government of Aragon reports in a press release.
The manager of the University of Zaragoza, Alberto Gil; The director of the IACS Chair of CPI in Health, Gerardo García-Álvarez, and the managing director of the IACS, Sandra García, were in charge of closing the congress, which was held over two days.
The meeting began with a table on fundamental aspects related to health innovation, which sought to answer questions about what innovation is, what it means to put this procedure into practice, and what national and European funding possibilities exist.
During this first day, the preliminary results of the questionnaire developed by the CPI Chair in Health for the evaluation of public procurement projects were also presented. The document has been prepared after analyzing examples of national and European innovation public purchasing guides.
