31 March, 2021The fifth General Assembly of the FAIR4Health project was held virtually on March 16 and 17, guaranteeing correct technical and scientific monitoring of the project to achieve its objectives.
FAIR4Health is a project funded by the call Science with and for Society (SwafS-04-2018) of H2020, formed by 17 partners from 11 different countries, and whose duration is 36 months, active from December 1, 2018 to November 30, 2021. FAIR4Health is promoting the application of the FAIR principles on data derived from publicly funded health research initiatives, to be shared and reused across the European Union (EU) health research community, defining an effective outreach strategy at EU level of the use of FAIR in Health.
Currently, the clinical partners of the project are finishing preparing the technological infrastructure and the deployment of the tools developed in FAIR4Health. In the coming weeks, the clinical demonstration planned for the project will be carried out, applying the FAIR principles to make research data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable, and from a responsible perspective. In this way, data on research and healthcare (based on Digital Health Stories) will be shared and reused in a safe, controlled ecosystem, in accordance with the legal and ethical framework.
The fifth General Assembly, held virtually on March 16 and 17 and coordinated by the Andalusian Health Service (SAS), guarantees the monitoring of the achievement of the objectives through technical and scientific meetings of all the tasks included in the plan. job. One of the most important issues included is the training and training of researchers during a demonstration of the operation of the tools developed in FAIR4Health through the use of an example data set from the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital.
In the coming weeks, the FAIR4Health tools will be used in the validation and clinical demonstration of the use cases designed in the project:
- Identification of multimorbidity patterns and correlation of polypharmacy in the risk of mortality in the elderly.
- Early prediction service for the risk of readmission within 30 days in patients with COPD.
Furthermore, the General Assembly promotes the correct and fluid coordination between the different partners of the FAIR4Health consortium, led by the Andalusian Health Service, and formed by the following partners: Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences (Spain), Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain), Atos Spain SAE (Spain), University for Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology (Austria), HL7 Foundation (Belgium), Institut für Medizinische Informatik, Statistik und Epidemiologie – Universität Leipzig KöR (Germany), Academic Medical Center of University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), Université de Genève (Switzerland), Peter L.
