13 December, 2024The group will be in charge of the management of Long COVID from Primary Care. To do so, it has launched a survey aimed at family doctors to find out about their experience in the diagnosis and treatment of this condition.
El Aragonese Research Group in Primary Care (GAIAP), from the Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragón), has recently taken over management of the project part EURODATA which focuses on the management of Long COVID within Primary Care. The project aims to analyze the Primary Care activity during the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe and provide specific activity indicators for this area.
The EURODATA project, coordinated by the Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine (semFYC)The aim is also to create a shared dashboard of indicators of Primary Health Care (PHC) activity in Europe, which will allow countries to have a common system to more effectively address future health crises.
Survey for family doctors
As part of the study, the GAIAP has launched a survey aimed at family doctors across Europe: https://ulsurvey.uni.lu/index.php/586472?lang=en.

The main objective of the survey is Collect data on their experience in diagnosing and managing Long COVID. Researchers are looking for Evaluate the level of knowledge and training of family doctors about him persistent COVID-19, explore current diagnostic and treatment practices, as well as identify resources and support available in primary care.
The results obtained from the physicians' responses will be key to identifying areas that require further attention or improvement, thus contributing to the development of better diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to Long COVID. In addition, it is intended optimize the training of health professionals and the resources available to more efficiently face future pandemic scenarios.
