The treasures of the pharmacy of the Provincial Hospital of Zaragoza come to light
3 May 2019The election of the 6.797 MIR training places begins, most of them for recently graduated doctors. Aragón offers about 200.
Thousands of doctors choose their specialty from yesterday until May 21. This year, the Ministry of Health offers 6.797 MIR training places, of which about 200 will be in health centers in Aragon. Dermatology and Cardiology were once again among the most coveted specialties yesterday, but on the first day the surprise came from others, such as the Digestive System, which strongly entered the preferences of the first hundred who chose.
A total of 15.477 medical graduates took the Resident Internal Medicine (MIR) exam on February 2, which was held in 21 cities throughout Spain (more than 1.300 people were examined in Zaragoza). An essential test so that after six years of study, new doctors can access one of the training places in the different specialties offered.
After this test, the Ministry of Health has ordered and numbered more than 11.000 applicants. The grade obtained in the test counts for 90% and the academic record counts for 10%. Between yesterday and today they will choose the 1.400 with the best scores and the rest will do so until May 21 (on the 27th and 28th they have to join their destinations).
The first issue of the MIR opted for a Dermatology position at the La Paz hospital in Madrid, while the second will specialize in Pathological Anatomy on Doce de Octubre. One of the loudest applause (from his own teammates) went to number 11, which was chosen for Family Medicine. According to the professionals themselves, he has been the 'ugly duckling' in recent years, although little by little he is gaining points. Among the top hundred, she was chosen once.
