26 March, 2025CRIS AGAINST CANCER – call for CRIS Research Programs
26 March, 2025This call will fund projects that study the diagnosis, treatment, management, symptoms, or pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis, for a maximum of three years, using clinical (observational/interventional), translational, or epidemiological study approaches.
Thematic areas:
- Improve outcomes of infections for people with CF.
- Advance approaches to prevent and treat serious complications of CF outside the lungs.
- Improve understanding of chronic rejection following lung transplant with the goal of developing a prevention or treatment.
- Improve understanding of inflammation, impaired airway hydration, and mucus clearance to advance new therapies for CF.
- Assess the feasibility and potential of linking novel data sources to the CF Foundation Patient Registry, eg, administrative databases, patient-reported outcomes, wearables, and home monitoring.
- Characterize the best CF care and treatment regimens to provide optimal, individualized care as the CF treatment landscape evolves.
- Improve understanding of system-level and societal barriers to optimal CF care and explore opportunities to minimize their effects.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be an independent researcher from anywhere in the world.
- Submit research projects that are not funded by industry.
- Submit additional information in accordance with U.S. anti-terrorism restrictions for applicants whose institutions are not U.S.-based.
- Demonstrate access to a sufficient number of Cystic Fibrosis patients to carry out the project
Application
The application will be made through the application platform in two phases:
- Expression of interest must be submitted before 03/04/2025.
- Submission of complete proposal before 14/08/2025.
