The IIS Aragón values FP students within the field of research
26 June, 2023From June 28 to 30, Jaca will host the III School of Cellular and Molecular Biology of Cancer, coordinated by Alberto Jiménez Schuhmacher, ARAID researcher at the IIS Aragón, together with Santiago Ramon y Cajal Agüeras, HU Vall d'Hebron (Barcelona) and which also has AstraZeneca collaboration.
This important training is included within the Extraordinary Courses of the University of Zaragoza, which this year reaches its 96th edition, which organizes and sponsors the IIS Aragón. The third edition of this School of Cellular and Molecular Biology offers a updated and organized view of the state of oncological research and its challenges in four large blocks. Combining conferences and round tables The implications of the study of cancer genomes, the importance of the tumor microenvironment, new immunotherapies, cellular plasticity, cancer metabolism, the study of metastasis and the development of new drugs and diagnostic methods will be clearly addressed.
In recent years, a revolution has been taking place in cancer research that must urgently be translated into clinical practice. This course offers undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students an up-to-date and accessible view of the state of cancer research from basic research to medical practice. A unique opportunity to interact with some of the most important figures in cancer research in our country.
