26 February, 2025The objective is to call for grants for postdoctoral training of doctoral research staff (Odón de Buen Program) during the period 2025-2027, under the modality of a full-time employment contract, with exclusive dedication and of a fixed duration, to be carried out at the university, center or research organization, under the provisions of current labor legislation and the collective agreements of the contracting entities, where appropriate, without prejudice to the specialties derived from the content of Law 14/2011, of June 1, on Science, Technology and Innovation.
The purpose of this call for applications is the possible completion of research stays by each of the postdoctoral contractors at a centre located outside of Spanish territory throughout the duration of the postdoctoral contract.
The grants will have a maximum duration of two years.
Candidate Requirements:
- Possession of a doctoral degree obtained on or after January 1, 2022. The date of obtaining the doctoral degree will be understood as the date of reading and approval of the doctoral thesis.
- Having obtained a doctorate degree from one of the universities located in the Aragonese territory.
- Not having obtained any aid for the hiring of postdoctoral research staff in state or regional calls for applications with the same subsidizable purpose of postdoctoral training.
Requirements for the Research Tutor:
- The research tutor will supervise the development of the research carried out by the doctoral candidates during the execution of the postdoctoral contract.
- The tutor must hold a doctorate degree and may not be listed as directing more than one application in this call.
- The researcher/supervisor must be linked by employment or by statute to the contracting entity where the postdoctoral researcher carries out his/her activity, at the time of submitting the application. This link must be maintained during the validity of the grant for the postdoctoral contract.
- The tutor must belong to a research group recognized by the Administration of the Autonomous Community, pursuant to the latest recognition resolution and its update available at the following links:
AThose researchers interested in participating in this call must complete and submit the following form as well as all the documents established in the call.
The documents that must be submitted with the application must be sent in “pdf” format and will be the following:
a) Doctoral degree specifying the date of defence and approval of the doctoral thesis and the doctoral school where the doctoral training was carried out, if you object to its consultation by the instructing body through the Data Verification and Consultation Service.
b) Updated CVA of the participating doctoral research staff (standardized, preferably FECYT, MINECO, SIDERAL, among others).
c) Recognition of the degree of disability, if you object to its consultation with the Data Verification and Consultation Service.
d) Documentation proving the care of children, if claimed in the application, by the candidate.
e) Updated CVA of the research tutor (standardized, preferably FECYT, MINECO, SIDERAL, among others).
f) Doctorate degree of the research tutor.
g) Document proving the work or statutory relationship of the research tutor with the requesting university, centre or research organisation. In the event that it is temporary, a document of commitment to the relationship for the duration of the postdoctoral grant must be provided.
h) Documentation proving the care of children, if claimed in the application, of the researcher/guardian.
i) Scientific and technical history of the last five years (from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024) of the research team in which the participant is integrated. The research team is composed of the research staff that develops the line or lines of research in which the participant will be integrated. The following will be included in this document, in accordance with the model that appears as Annex I:
- List of the people who make up the group and whether or not they belong to research groups recognised by the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Aragon.
- Scientific and technical contributions and contributions to society within the framework of technological development, innovation, scientific dissemination and similar actions.
- List of competitive international, national and regional R&D&I projects, as well as research service contracts with public or private entities, carried out or initiated in the reference period indicated.
- Description of the pre- and postdoctoral training capacity of the research team, including a list of the theses completed or in progress, a description of the professional development of the doctors who have graduated from the team, as well as a description of the scientific-technical context in which the candidate is incorporated.
- Description of the group's internationalisation capacity, collaboration with international organisations and groups, as well as participation in international programmes and actions.
j) Work plan of the objectives and activities proposed to be carried out during the duration of the programme, and their suitability and impact on the specific field of activity of the scientific-technical area selected in the application. This plan will be signed by the candidate and the researcher tutor. The corresponding model appears as Annex II.
k) Detailed plan of the stay, if any, indicating the relationship between the programme to be undertaken during the stay and the content and objective of the postdoctoral training; adequacy of the duration of the stay; and justification of the importance and international relevance of the centre and group of destination for the work to be undertaken. This plan will be signed by the candidate and the researcher/supervisor. The corresponding model appears as Annex III.
l) Authorization from the center hiring the doctoral research staff to carry out the stay, the model for which appears as Annex IV, signed by the representative of the center or organization.
m) Documentary evidence of acceptance by the destination research centre or organisation where the stay will take place.
n) Proof of having obtained a doctorate degree within the framework of the calls for recruitment of predoctoral research staff in training financed by the Government of Aragon, if you do not object to consulting it.
