“CIBA and Climate Actions” photo contest

On the occasion of “World Climate Day”, which will be celebrated on March 26, the IACS has organized the “CIBA and actions for Climate” photographic contest in collaboration with the Aragón Health Research Institute (IISA) and the University from Zaragoza (UNIZAR).

We want to count on you and we encourage you to participate!

What can we do, due to the impact of our work, on the climate and environment?

The contest is open to all CIBA workers. You can send your photo(s), along with the form that you can download in the link at the end of this entry, until March 12 to the email rsc.iacs@aragon.es. On Friday, March 24, the three finalists of the contest will be announced. All participating images will be displayed on the CIBA screens and there will be a prize for the first place and two second prizes (for the 2nd and 3rd place)!

In addition, the winning photo will be the cover of the 2023 IACS CSR report.

Rules of the “CIBA and Climate Actions” photo contest and useful information to participate:
Who can take part?
● It is a contest open to all CIBA workers.

How can I participate? Sending photos
● You can send all the photographs you want as long as they are original to you and comply with the proposed theme. It can be new or old.
● A highly valued criterion is that it communicates a message related to our own activity or that carried out at CIBA and its impact.
● Both black and white and color images will be accepted.
● Photographs retouched with Photoshop or any other similar application used for this will not be accepted.
● Photo format:
The photograph must be high resolution (minimum 240 dots per inch)
File extension type: Format of the photograph sent: .jpeg or .tiff.
● Sending the photograph to the RSC email address (rsc.iacs@aragon.es). The name of the image file must follow the format 2023_Your Last Name_and Affiliation, replacing the part highlighted in red with what corresponds (e.g. 2023_Martínez_IACS).
● You can give the photo a title (optional).
● The photographs received will be anonymized and made available to the jury for their review.

What are the selection criteria for the winning photograph and finalists?
The jury will be made up of the IACS communication group, together with a CSR group from the IACS, the Institute for Health Research of Aragon (IISA) and the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR), which focuses its activity related to the footprint of carbon and environment will evaluate the following aspects of the images:
1) Creativity and composition.
2) The effectiveness in communicating the concept, which conveys a compelling and interesting story.
Each member of the jury will select the 3 images that, in their opinion, best convey the message and meet the requirements of the contest.
It is reported that, in the event that none of the photographs meet the required requirements, the jury may void the contest.

Dissemination of the finalist photographs
The finalist images of the contest will be communicated on Friday, March 24, by email, from the CSR communication email (rsc.iacs@aragon.es) and the IACS social networks. You can send us your Twitter account if you want us to tag you.
All participating images will be presented and displayed on the CIBA screens.
There will be a prize for the first place finisher and two second prizes (for the next two finalists).
The winning photograph will be the cover of the IACS CSR report for 2023. This contest activity will be published on the IACS page, in the Corporate Social Responsibility (governance) web space.

Award for the winning photograph
The first place winner will be offered to choose one of the following 3 options as a prize:
(maximum quantified prize of 120 euros)
1) Tickets to carry out diving activities at the Zaragoza Aquarium.
2) Family visit to the Lacuniacha Wildlife Park.
3) Collaboration check in the “Bosque de los Zaragozanos”.

Awards for 2nd and 3rd place (second prize)
They will be offered to choose one of two options as a prize:
1) Family visit to the Lacuniacha Wildlife Park.
2) Collaboration check in the “Bosque de los Zaragozanos”.
We ask all of them to share the experience with everyone by sending us a photograph/s for dissemination, and to be seen enjoying the prize.
Consent to use photographs Please note that to be accepted into the contest it is necessary to complete the document transferring the rights to exploit photographic works by the IACS.
