October 31, 2024The purpose of this call is to support the implementation of a binational doctoral program (carried out in two countries), one of which is Germany.
There are two options:
- PhD with binational supervision: PhD programme supervised by a tutor at the home university and a second tutor at the German university
- Cotutela model doctorate: PhD program developed in two universities in different countries (one of them Germany) between which there must be a prior cooperation agreement
For both options, the amount will be €1.300/month, plus other supplements.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Having graduated less than six years ago
- Not having resided in Germany for more than 15 months on the date of application
- Having started the doctoral program less than 3 years ago
- Having obtained the master's degree before the start of the grant (in the case of a doctorate with binational supervision)
- Be researchers accepted into the doctoral program before the start of the grant (in the case of the co-tutoring doctorate model)

- University degree certificate
- Description of the research project agreed with the academic supervisor in Germany and Spain
- Letter of recommendation from a university professor
- Certificate of access to the doctoral program
- Model PhD with binational supervision: letter of acceptance from the supervisor at the German university
- Cotutela Model: Cooperation Agreement
- Other documents of interest
