Quality cancer research projects, basic or translational, from group leaders linked to a national research entity.

We promote the development of strategic research lines for the AECC in order to address the challenges of cancer: palliative care, epidemiology, radiation oncology and oncological surgery.

We foster connections between the university community and/or healthcare professionals by supporting projects that develop training, outreach, and/or knowledge-generating activities, incorporating a humanized approach to care to improve the treatment of cancer patients and their families. This position is open to university staff and/or faculty members with a doctoral degree and demonstrable experience in the relevant field.

We support emerging research groups in consolidating their cancer research lines by providing financial aid to high-quality projects with a clear translational focus, conducted entirely in Spain. This funding is for researchers who have begun their independent scientific careers within the last five years.

We promote multicenter clinical studies, not sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry, that address a clinical need or that present innovative ideas that could modify clinical practice. This funding is for researchers working in non-profit healthcare institutions affiliated with or contracted by the National Health System, including hospitals or primary care centers.

The objective of AECC INNOVA is to support R&D&I projects with high potential for transferring results, developed in a public or private, non-profit entity in Spain with the capacity for scientific research, to bring research results closer to patients. This is for researchers belonging to institutions with a Knowledge Transfer Office or Innovation Unit.
