13 April 2026The purpose of this call is to facilitate the incorporation of established research talent of recognized international prestige who have recently completed a significant period of their professional activity abroad. This will promote progress towards a more competitive Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System at both the national and international levels, thereby fostering the exchange of knowledge and excellent research personnel by incorporating them on a permanent basis, supporting their careers, and stimulating the creation and consolidation of top-tier research teams.
The following entities may benefit from the grants: public research organizations, public and private universities, public and private non-profit healthcare entities and institutions, accredited healthcare research institutes, Technology Centers and Technological Innovation Support Centers, and other public and private non-profit R&D&I centers.
Application
The electronic completion and submission of the application must be done through the electronic means enabled for this purpose in the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
The application period will begin on April 23 and end on June 4, 2026 at 14:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time).
The amount of this call is EUR 40.000.000.
Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Scientific and technical career of the principal investigator
- Novelty, quality and viability of the project
The description of the criteria and sub-criteria, as well as their assessment and thresholds, are determined in Annex I of the call.
