Organ donation: family is more important than legislating consent
20 January 2023The Aragonese company ATESA, dedicated to the industrial electrical installation and assembly sector, support again the work of the Aragón Health Research Institute. On this occasion, the Molecular Oncology Group, led by Alberto Jiménez Schuhmacher, has received 3.000 euros that will be used to promote the 'Virtual Biopsy' project, which consists of obtaining part of the information that a biopsy provides through an imaging test, that is, a photo with a scan, but of the entire tumor, not just a small sample of tissue. Last year's contribution, which amounted to 5.000 euros, was used to characterize a nanoantibody for biomedical applications in pancreatic cancer, and with this new donation we will work on improving it.
ATESA began its journey in 1987 and since its inception it has been linked to services in the Aragonese and Spanish industry. Among its clients are industries throughout the national territory. Since 1998 they have maintained the Quality System seal based on the UNE-ENISO-9001 standard and have the qualified professionals necessary to undertake any industrial electrical assembly project of any size. The company considers health research to be “fundamental” and its intention is to maintain its commitment to different social and scientific projects that improve society.
