28 January 2026Call for Strategic Action in Health 2026
30 January 2026The IIS Aragón is participating with a videocapillaroscopy project using AI applied to the early detection of autoimmune diseases
The Government of Aragon reaffirms its commitment to technology and innovation with a prominent participation in the fair Science for Industry (S4i), which is celebrated on January 28 and 29 at La Nave (Madrid). The community returns to this internationally renowned event, reinforcing its commitment to applied research and, especially, to the effective transfer of knowledge to the productive sector.
In this edition, Aragon presents a broad portfolio of prototypes and technological solutions covering strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, energy, industry, health, agri-food, and logistics. These innovations are the result of collaborative work between technology centers, research institutes, universities, and startups that make up the Aragonese R&D&I ecosystem.
Innovation in processes and artificial intelligence
El Technological Institute of Aragon (ITA) focuses its proposal on improving decision-making and user experience through developments such as Kajal®, an advanced platform for logistics and production based on predictive analysis, and The Sensory Table, a pioneering solution that allows objectively quantifying the responses of diners and turning the gastronomic experience into measurable data.
In turn, the CIRCE Technology Center It presents five developments focused on digitalization and artificial intelligence applied to urban and agricultural environments, such as a smart traffic light that detects the intention of pedestrians to cross, the Speechcoach communication assistance tool, the ViñaAI solution to optimize water use in vineyards, the VoltIA system to evaluate the real health of electric vehicle batteries and the erAIse algorithm, capable of removing people from videos in real time by realistically reconstructing the background.
Robotics, industrial safety and the energy of the future
Automation and industrial safety also play a prominent role in the Aragonese proposal. Aitiip Technology Center presents ROBOMIMIC, an industrial robotics platform that allows robots to be programmed using intuitive gestures without the need for code, while CEEI Aragón, together with Signos IoT, showcases SiChock, a smart chock designed to improve safety and efficiency at loading docks.
In the energy sector, Aragon highlights its leadership in hydrogen technologies with proposals such as H2XR and the Mini Genset H2YPE from the Hydrogen Foundation of Aragon, the liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) developed by the Institute of Synthesis and Homogeneous Catalysis (ISQCH), and the CO₂ hydrogenation reactor of the Aragon Institute of Engineering Research (I3A), aimed at obtaining renewable fuels.
Technology applied to animal health and welfare
The healthcare and veterinary sector completes Aragon's presence at the fair with solutions that have a high social impact. Aragón Health Research Institute (IIS Aragón), in collaboration with Capillary.io, presents a platform for videocapillaroscopy based on artificial intelligence for the early detection of autoimmune diseases and microvascular damage.
In addition, the OTRI of the University of Zaragoza together with Peryton Medical Solutions is showing Embrace, a modular implantable medical device for the treatment of injuries in the lumbosacral area, and the I3A is participating with a wearable hoof sensor system for the objective diagnosis of lameness in horses.
The joint participation in Science for Industry highlights the maturity of the Aragonese research and innovation ecosystem and its capacity to transform scientific knowledge into solutions with real economic and social impact.
