The pharmaceutical industry, a sector that contributes to gender equality
9 March, 2021The Spanish Alliance for Children's Road Safety and the IIS Aragón sign an agreement to promote training, research, innovation and dissemination in this field
Thanks to this collaboration, both entities will carry out activities with the aim of improving social awareness on issues such as the correct use of child restraint systems, which contribute to reducing child road accidents.
Within the framework of this collaboration, the IIS Aragón and AESVi They will contribute their experience and carry out activities on children's road safety aimed at training, research and innovation and dissemination and awareness. Among them, they have agreed to hold technical conferences, courses and other informative activities aimed at helping to reduce child road accidents.
Juan Jose Alba, researcher at IIS Aragón, highlights the importance of improving all the links in the long chain of actions involved in achieving children's road safety. “Every time an accident occurs, the passive safety of vehicles and, especially, child restraint systems, must work as effectively as possible to avoid injuries or, at least, minimize their impact. And if injuries occur - especially if they are serious - it is important that the rescue be carried out quickly and with the best means and knowledge. And the same can be said of hospital emergency services,” says Alba. “In this sense, the transversal nature of an institute like the IIS Aragón, together with the capabilities of an association like AESVi, which brings together practically all the relevant agents in matters of children's road safety, can represent an important contribution to improving in all the aforementioned aspects,” he adds.
The Aragon Health Research Institute is made up of the “Lozano Blesa” and “Miguel Servet” Teaching and University Hospitals, Primary Health Care, the University of Zaragoza and the Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences. The objectives of IIS Aragon are to bring together basic and applied, clinical and health services research; create a quality research, care and teaching environment to which health professionals, training specialists and postgraduate and undergraduate students are exposed, as well as constitute the ideal place for recruiting talent and locating large scientific facilities. technological. The IIS Aragón seeks to promote relationships with key agents in the environment, favoring an inter-institutional relationship, also increasing the participation of the business community in the Institute's activities.
For its part, the Spanish Alliance for Children's Road Safety is an association made up of companies and institutions, public and private, all of them linked in some way to children's road safety and committed to its constant improvement with the following objectives:
