4 March, 2020The IIS Aragón launches this action in response to the health alert due to a new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), with the aim of contributing, through the development of innovative ideas, to minimizing the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 / Covid-19. XNUMX in the healthcare environment and to facilitate the control of this infection.
The purpose of the call is to promote, from a technological perspective, the development of innovative collaborative projects and actions aimed at minimizing the risk of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 / Covid-19 in the healthcare environment.
The projects must be aimed at:
- Minimize the need to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Improve the design of PPE that simplifies and speeds up its placement and removal.
- Increase the availability of PPE: increasing its durability or reusability.
- Increase the cleaning capacity of surfaces in the healthcare environment and the disinfection of healthcare professionals.
The main researcher will have to belong to a group from the IIS Aragón, although researchers from the University of Zaragoza from technological areas not attached to the institute and external entities, public or private, may participate in the project team, when their participation is essential for the development. of the project.
